Per Student (Diocesan assessment fees, technology fees, Auction support, Emergency

Preparedness Assessment, FACTS Management fees, STEM, Enrichment, etc.)


Each family is required to raise $450 in PROFIT per year. You also have the option of making 10 installments of $45 or direct pay-off of $450 due in August 2020. If requirement is not met then family will be charged the remaining outstanding balance due in May of 2021.

Volunteer Hours

- 25 hours per year per family
- 15 hours per year for single parent family
- 5 hours must be towards our annual Auction.
- Families who do not meet volunteer requirements will be assessed $30 per unfulfilled hour


8th Grade Families ONLY - Graduation Fee per student (fee includes 8th Grade sweatshirt, 8th Grade day at the Diocese trip, diploma, gowns, awards, graduation luncheon and 8th Grade Fieldtrip.


7th Grade Families ONLY - CYO Camp Caritas deposit per student (this fee will be billed to your FACTS account and is due on or before August 15, 2020. Balance of Camp fees will be due two weeks prior to camp.


7th Grade Families ONLY – In keeping with tradition, 7th Grade hosts the Graduation Dance in the Spring ( contributes to the costs of the dance), per student.

Financial Aid

Applying for Grant and Financial Assistance

Any family wishing to be considered for financial assistance must complete the online FACTS Grant and Aid application. A new application must be submitted each school year. Submission of a financial aid application does not guarantee financial assistance. Due to the high demand for financial aid, any late or incomplete applications will not receive consideration for tuition assistance. St. Catherine of Siena School has partnered with two organizations for tuition assistance: Family Aid Catholic Education (FACE) and Basic Fund, and uses FACTS Management to assist with information gathering and the assessment of tuition assistance. FACTS will provide an independent and reasonable assessment of the ability of each family to pay tuition. FACTS does not make any decisions about recipients and the amounts of financial aid awarded.

Family Aid Catholic Education (FACE)

In completing your FACTS application, you are eligible to apply to Family Aid – Catholic Education (FACE). In order to be considered, you will need to check a box to authorize FACE to receive your application. FACE provides need-based tuition grants to students who attend Catholic schools in the Diocese of Oakland.

FACE was founded in 1978 and helps students regardless of religion, gender, ethnicity or citizenship. They hope to support over 700 students every school year. The recent success of their annual Gala and donated funds increases the number of grants given each year. The Diocese of Oakland includes 39 elementary and 9 secondary Catholic schools throughout the East Bay.

All families applying for consideration for financial assistance must complete the Grant and Aid Application on the FACTS Management website.

Basic Funding

Applications opened January 1, 2020

Application Deadline for new student applications (this includes siblings of renewing students) is March 15, 2020.

The BASIC Fund is a privately funded organization providing partial-tuition scholarships to low-income families across the Bay Area, helping them afford the cost of tuition at the private school of their choice. This program is intended as a helping hand for families enrolling their children at a private school for the first time. Apply online at

Parish Aid / School Assistance :

St. Catherine of Siena School will not assume responsibility for incomplete or late applications. If you would like the school to review your application, your completed application must be submitted by March 8, 2020. If you are not sure how to proceed, please contact Mrs. Griswold, Principal at as soon as possible. Bilingual assistance is available.

IMPORTANT: All grants (exclusive of Basic Fund) require the FACE application to be completed with a nominal processing fee. Application deadlines are strictly adhered to. Applications are available in the school office
