My name is Fr. Michael Nufable, but you can call me Fr. Mike. I was born in Vallejo and have grown up here in the San Francisco Bay Area. From 5 years old through college, my home has been living in Hercules. My parents are originally from Iloilo, Philippines, and God blessed them with three boys Francis, Joseph and myself. (I am the oldest).

As a young teenager, I wanted to get married, become a pediatric nurse, and a professional bowler. God truly works in mysterious ways. Instead of listening to my plans, God had other plans for me. As a Priest, I'm still able to help and be of service to all people, in a unique way, and work for those souls' salvation. In 2008, I attended St. Patrick Seminary in Menlo Park. I was ordained a Priest for the Diocese of Oakland on May 29th, 2015. My first assignment was at St. Leander Parish in San Leandro for two and a half years. After that, I have served the St. Patrick's Parish community in RodeoHercules as the Parochial Vicar for a little over three years.

Some of my favorite hobbies include bowling, basketball, and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy watching movies and consider myself to be a "foodie." I love traveling to my parents' home country, the Philippines. Every encounter there has always been a joy and a blessing. These trips have allowed me to realize today that because of God's wonderful creations, I knew I wanted to continue to evangelize His love and mercy to all generations. God was knocking on my heart the whole time and wanted me to listen to His call to become a Catholic priest.

I'm also a Bay Area sports fan of the San Francisco 49ers, Golden State Warriors, and San Francisco Giants teams. My past opportunities to bowl with family and friends have allowed me to share my love of food, sports, and more importantly, Jesus Christ in a most beautiful encounter with brothers and sisters in Christ.

Ms. Dal Bello is an alum of St. Catherine! She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2015 and completed my Multiple Subject Credential Program at St. Mary’s College in 2018. She was a substitute teacher for several years and taught K-8, but her favorite grade by far is Kindergarten! This is her fourth year teaching at St. Catherine’s, and she is looking forward to a fun year of learning and growing with our youngest students.

I’m an east coast girl at heart but I moved here to California when I was 16. I graduated St Mary’s College with a BA in religious studies and received my teaching credential there too. I taught second grade at St. Joseph the Worker School in Berkeley for 6 years before coming to St. Catherine of Siena in 2006. I have been teaching second grade here ever since.
